Frequently Asked
Questions
Q. My video
display is not showing in ClearLine even though a video is loaded.
A.
Firstly ensure that DirectX is installed on the machine. If so, click on 'Start',
'Run', and type in DXDiag in the box. This will run the DirectX diagnostic tool.
If the diagnostic tool is not displayed, click on the 'dxdiag' box on the bottom
of the screen to show the screen. Once the diagnostic has been completed, go
to the 'Display' tab of the diagnostic screen and disable the DirectDraw Acceleration.
Restart the machine. If DirectX is not installed on the machine, click
here to get the latest version of DirectX.
Q. VOB files
(DVD files) are not loading or playing correctly on my ClearLine screen.
A. Go
to http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/encoding_vobutils.html, download
and install VOB filter 1.04.
Q. Still unable
to play VOB files or Mpeg files through the ClearLine Profiler.
A.
You may need to load an Mpeg decoder program. One that CleanFlow Systems recommends
is Moonlight's Elecard decoder. You can download this file from http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml.
1. No live video
feed is shown on my application when the video is playing:
Ensure that a video capture card is installed on your computer and is not currently
being used by any other application.
2. The integrated
area calculation does not show the correct area to be calculated: Ensure
that the area to be calculated is selected in a clockwise manner and the line
is terminated as required using either the escape key or right hand click on
the mouse button and select Terminate Line.
3. My recorded
video file will not play: The only video files able to be used within the
ClearLine Profiler are live video, avi files, mpg, m2p, mpa, and vob files.
If you have video saved in another format these files must be converted in order
to play them in ClearLine. We recommend Elecard (available at http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml).
4. I have XP
and the screen does not display correctly: The XP toolbars are larger than
Windows classic and therefore take away space from the ClearLine Profiler screens.
To alter this, go into the Control Panel and adjust the Display to be Windows
Classic.
5. My screen
resolution is 800 x 600 and the ClearLine Profiler screens do not display correctly:
The ClearLine Profiler screens are best displayed at 1024 x 768 resolution.
To alter your screen resolution, go to the Contol Panel and change the Display
Settings to 1024 x 768 resolution.
6. My recorded
video files will not play: Ensure that you have the latest upgrade from
the CleanflowSystems.com website. If you do have the latest upgrade, please
contact CleanFlow Systems for technical support.
7. The video
loaded does not show on my ClearLine Screen: Go to the Start button in the
bottom left of your screen, click on Run, and type in 'dxdiag'. This will run
the directx diagnostic program. Go to the Display tab (as shown in the image
below) and disable the DirectDraw Acceleration.
8. Leadtek graphics
card problems: If you are using a Leadtek card (or any nVidia chipset that
does capturing) and the software is not operating correctly, do the following.
Go to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp and ensure first that
the graphics driver is installed. Then download the Multimedia software driver.
Choose the WDM driver and then the operating system. Ensure that the VIVO driver
is downloaded not the VIVO plus TV. Also ensure that the correct option is chosen
in the Capture Device box in the Options page.
9. My camera
uses a fisheye lens which distorts my video captures: Ensure that you use
the fisheye distortion algorithm when you view videos that have been taken using
this type of camera lens. For further information on fisheye lens distortion,
please see your ClearLine Profiler software help file.
10.0 My Leadtek
graphics card still does not display the video. The screen is black. You
need to use the software that came with the graphics card to select 'Composite'
as the video input. Each time the computer is shut down, this function must
be performed. We are working on this problem and will send a fix as soon as
it is resolved.
11.0 Mpeg2/VOB
files will not play on my ClearLine application. If you are using WindowsXP
the Mpeg2/VOB files will need a separate decoder to be installed on your machine
for these files to play. Go to www.cleanflowsystems.com/current downloads to
download a free decoder and install on your machine.
